In this class we will move together with butoh imagery and a contemporary dance sensibility. We will practice modulating effort and control, gaining a deeper sense of embodiment and abandonment. 

Madelyn Sher is a New York-based performer and choreographer. She weaves butoh, contemporary dance, and theater together in her research and compositions, and finds interest in the rhythms of growth and decay. Madelyn holds an MFA in Choreography and Performance from Smith College.
