Conceived in part as a response to the current climate, WE WANT IT DARKER is a dreamy portrait of the surreal. Through solo and collaborative work, with live music, drag, dance and aerial performances, we explore what is in the midst of the darkness.

Lisa Natoli, also known as Iron Fanny, is an aerial performance artist living in Minneapolis. She is a sought after aerialist known for her unconventional approach to teaching and performing. Lisa worked on a creation project with Spiegelworld directed by Steven Hoggett at St. Ann’s Warehouse (NYC) in 2017, and has been written about in Dance Interntional Magazine. She has presented solo and ensemble work for over a decade in the downtown cabaret scene in NYC and around the country. She is the head aerial instructor at ExperTease Fitness. She recently performed at Elektra Cute Presents Pink & White Ball at The Lab Theater in Minneapolis and will be premiering a solo show titled "Some Animals are Easily Startled" in Denver at Invisible City in August. www.lisasbrightideas.com
Storm Marrero is a singer & performer in motion. The Brooklyn native grew up in Puerto Rico where she developed her unique vocal skills under the private tutelage of veteran opera singers at the University of Puerto Rico’s prestigious musical theater department. Her vocal styling is rooted in Contemporary, Soul, Jazz, R&B and Latin music. She has released two musical productions: her self-titled debut EP "STORM", and her sophomore project, "Black Gypsy", which are both on iTunes and Amazon. She is one of the most sought-after singers in New York City, finishing up her 2nd consecutive year with the renowned theater company, Company XIV.
Vangeline is a teacher, dancer, and choreographer specializing in the Japanese postwar avant-garde movement form Butoh. She is the Artistic Director of the Vangeline Theater (New York), a dance company firmly rooted in the tradition of Japanese Butoh while carrying it into the 21st century, and the founder of the New York Butoh Institute. Her performances have dealt with subjects as varied as feminism, climate change, war and perceptions of gender. She often infuses drag elements into Butoh pieces honoring artists such as Klaus Nomi, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Butoh’s founder, Tatsumi Hijikata.
West Dakota is a Brooklyn based artist and performer. She studied Visual Arts at Columbia University where she graduated in 2016. She is the 2017 winner of the Mr(s). Brooklyn pageant.
